What is your definition of a “reality” show? Do these programs reflect the health and wellbeing that is needed in our world today? Would you rather watch a transformational program that has the ability to not only create “passion magnets” in millions of viewers but also create a new “real” world?

What if together we could create a new reality in which we help people discover their passion and share their gifts with the world? Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?

Here is your chance. We are so excited to have the opportunity to make this happen, but we need your help.

Can you imagine a TV talk show based on The Passion Test? Chris and I can, and that’s what we’re hoping to accomplish in our video submission for the Oprah Winfrey Network’s competition series, Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star. Oprah producers are looking for a new talk show concept, and we can’t think of a better way to get people involved in the Global Passion Initiative, and live the life of their dreams!

Thanks to The Passion Test, I've been following my passions and have had amazing things happen, including funding my own music label, traveling the world, profound spiritual development and much more! Thank you Janet! I have hoped you and Oprah would work together in some way and I look forward to seeing it happen!

How She Used 'The Passion Test' to Help a Fortune 500 Company

In a previous post, “Using the Passion Test to Create Your Ideal Career”, we talked about our journey of teaching. When we first began taking people through the Passion Test, our main goal was to enrich their lives by helping them find their purpose in life. What we learned along the way was that not only did it create many incredible miracles in so many lives, but also by teaching the Passion Test principles, our own lives spontaneously came to life even more fully. They say if you ever want to become an expert on a subject, commit to teaching it to someone else. What we have found is that the more we teach the process, the more we find ourselves unable to do anything other than live our passions.

The same has been true for one of our Certified Facilitators. Here is her story…

Dear Chris and Janet,

About a year ago I presented The Passion Test to my staff at a Fortune 500 company. I told my Human Resources department about it and they invited Janet and me to present it to a corporate conference in Oregon. From there, I got several invitations to do other staff workshops.

I proceeded to take people through The Passion Test within one of the corporation’s cultural organizations, which resulted in another staff workshop and an article being written in that group’s world-wide e-newsletter. Shortly after that publication was distributed, I was invited to speak to that group’s California division. I had officially taken my show on the road!

How to Stay True to Your Passions
05/11/2010

Question:

How can I be sure that my passions will continue to stay in my life as others come into my life? They may not totally agree with my passions.

Answer:

Your passions are like breadcrumbs, leading you to discover who you really are. As your life changes and you learn more about yourself, your passions will shift as well. That is why we recommend that you take The Passion Test at least every six months because each time you will discover more about yourself. As you peel back more of these layers you will find all of the natural talents and joys you have to offer to others.

Absolutely agree! It's a process, and I love the analogy of peeling back the layers because it's not a one-off thing... it's a constant adventure of discovering ourselves and what brings us closer to who we really are.

I believe that connecting to our passions, and truly expressing who we are and what sets us on fire, that's the only way to truly be considered ALIVE.

That's what the people around us - in our families, in our communities and in our circles of influence - need: people who are really living and giving of the best of themselves with passion!

Keep on sharing your phenomenal message with the world!

Hello Janet,

Your inspiration is contagious and it has touched my life in so many ways. Whenever I'm told I can't, I think of the interview you did a while back,(I remember the pointers you spoke of) and that gets me back on track. With much appreciation,

Much Mahalo for spreading the message of how connecting to our passion, our heart, constantly leads us to our joy that expands outward, and allows us to grow along with it's journey. There is great peace and freedom when we stop trying to fly against the wind and learn to soar with it! ...It is my intention to connect with as many people as possible who have made the path of passion their journey, and to spread the love and joy that is found in it's center. I look forward to meeting you along the journey...

Is Self-Doubt Preventing You from Realizing Your Passions?
05/07/2010
See all 5 Comments

Question:

How do I let go of my doubting mind to allow myself to see ideas beyond what I know?

Answer:

Your doubting mind arises from beliefs you hold. As we say in The Passion Test book, there are only three things that prevent anyone from living their passions: false beliefs, false concepts and false ideas.

Often these beliefs are tied to low self-esteem.

In coaching thousands of people on The Passion Test, the one thing we can be sure we will find when someone is having a hard time believing they could fulfill their passions (or in your case, see great ideas) is a case of low self-esteem. This is nothing to be embarrassed about because it is common and it is manageable.

Money Is Energy!

As Einstein stated "Everything from what we consider matter is ENERGY!"

When you keep thinking about "debt" you will vibrate that energy and become a magnet for the things you DON'T want.

Also, when people try to reprogram their minds they start by "active thinking" instead of "passive reprogramming".

Trying to change your mind through repetition works but it like trying to save a drowning man by giving him a glass of water.

It's NOT effect - and the evidence in that is all the failed attempts at change by people who really desire a better life.

The core of your beliefs are also the primary place for your own "resonating" energy.

Change that energy - and change will follow.

Hope this helps all who seek it!

Janet,(also my wife's name),I am more than double your age, I know the area, Santa Clara Valley, you live in, I took the EST training in April 1977, in San Jose, before that I had done SIMS, I also did 6 months of marriage counseling, read many self help books, had family counseling, these things I did came from having a really bad marriage, 5 kids, and no way out. 3 years after the EST training, I met woman who didn't care if I had a wife and 5 kids, so a month later the new woman and I moved in together, with her two kids. She is Jan, and we are still together after 30 years, and happy to be together. I'm not real happy here in Arizona, because the summer heat keeps us indoors all day. Our new house is worth less than when we bought it, and taking all our money with it. Money has been the big downfall for me, without money to do things, and cool weather, we're just stagnant, Jan doesn't seem to mind, she is just happy to be where I am. So you see, I am past most of the things you are espousing. things may be changing for us soon, my dad died recently, and we will be getting a little money, this will help to make my passions come true - they do take money !

Greetings Bill!
Your comment resonated with me. Money! We should create a seminar together with our combined learnings on how to stay poor permanenty! Remember what Janet did in the intro video? She burned her bridges. She had a 'cool, money-generating' job where she didn't/couldn't deliver. So she burned that job. Next point. False beliefs and non-serving programs are totally convincing - I certainly believe and defend all of my lunatic decisions! So - meant in a spirit of love and sharing - I invite you to look at your beliefs too. You state the summer heat in Arizona prevents you from being all you can be (in Janet/Chris lingo 'living your passions'). I have never been to Arizona, however I am prepared to bet that not everyone in AZ fails to thrive financially due to heat. Either the belief you hold is false, or the place is toxic to you so you choose to go. Burn the bridge, Bill. Looks to me as if you know your passions, so you have your intention. Next step is Attention to manifest your intention. Chris said "What you put your attention on grows stronger in your life. To create, take action because action engages attention." You and I know this to be true. My mistake has been to justify my inactions and I make such convincing arguments that even I (especially I) believe them. Result: ongoing focus on poverty. I have quite a few false beliefs to burn - if you look east tonight you may even see the flames - I lit a 'lies' bonfire three days ago and it is still burning! I wish you the courage to make the decisions which will bring you passion, ease and joy! Adieu de la belle France! Claire

Hi Claire,

your post was very open and self critical and honest. I am sure many people who have read it will agree that you just stated what so many of us "suffer" from. Self doubt, it creeps in for me and messes up my day. I have been staying focused fabulously for days and bang there it comes....But the best part of your message is burning the bridges...that's where I am right now and I have burned quite a few, one measly bridge is still intact and I am feeling the fear throughout my body. I am constantly picking myself up, refocus and remind myself that there is no other option for me than "Always choosing in favor of my passion".
Similar to Bill, I have told myself that I can't function properly, hence live a passionate life in the humid summer heat of Cairns. That's bull... I know now. I won't run away..I rather change my belief about it. Thank you Claire.
You have made my day, simply by knowing that others are also struggling with it, but keep on walking in the right direction.
Living a passionate life truly is a journey and it won't happen magically overnight.
I yell out across the ocean..."Never loose focus Claire and always choose in favor of your passion, no matter how scary..
Thank you for your uplifting post!!
LOL

In Pursuit of the Perfect Life

Question:

How can I stay focused on my pursuit of the ideal life to work smarter not harder?

Answer:

Often times when we find ourselves working harder and not smarter it is a result of a lack of focus. When we are clear about what we need to accomplish and the initial steps we need to take we accomplish tasks in an efficient way.

“When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life, and only to the extent that you are clear.”

Dr. Andrew Newberg and Mark Waldman explain that the brain can only prioritize a few ideas and goals at any one time. “The clearer you become about what you truly love and desire, the stronger your conscious intention becomes, and this helps the rest of your brain respond in an organized way.”

How to Cultivate Success Habits

Question:

It is not that I have a lack of passion, but how do I integrate it into my life so that I have it all?

Answer:

In our attempts to have it all, we can sometimes find ourselves shifting our focus from one thing to another, dedicating spurts of energy and effort on certain areas of our lives at a time. We may work a great deal and not pay as much attention to our family, or work on our physical wellness while not taking time for spiritual growth. The great thing about finding your five passions is that you can create a way of living that keeps you focused on those top five easily. As we often say…

Using the Passion Test to Create Your Ideal Career

We get many similar questions from our tele-class participants about how to make a career out of following their passions. Often times what we learn about these individuals is they all have a common passion to help others have more fulfilling and successful lives. What they are not sure about is where to start, what to teach and how to create an income from their passions.

When we first began taking people through the Passion Test our main goal was to enrich their lives by helping them find their purpose in life. What we learned along the way was that not only did it create many incredible miracles in so many lives, put also by teaching the Passion Test principles, our own lives spontaneously came to life even more fully. Overcoming Fear During Difficult Times

There are times when our focus goes to the current state of our government, employment and economic issues. It seems difficult to avoid the news stories and not feel affected by what they could mean for our lives personally. So how do you continue to live a passionate life when your mind gets stuck on negative situations or fearful thoughts distract you from a joyful life experience?

What you put your attention on grows stronger in your life.

In The Passion Test book we shared feedback we’ve received from Dr. Andrew Newberg and Mark Waldman, leading neuroscientists, as they describe how the neural connections in our brain are affected when we give attention to a particular belief.

“Putting attention on negative beliefs about yourself or your environment will result in stronger neural connections, and those beliefs, in turn will become more and more true for you. It literally becomes your inner reality, and that, of course, is going to influence the outer reality as well.”
